What to Know about the Gatlinburg Attraction
As a four-season attraction, there is always something to do at Ober Mountain Adventure Park and Ski Area. There are two ways to get to the park. The tramway takes you from downtown up to the mountain. You can also drive up, but parking is limited.
As previously stated, Ober is open year-round and features endless activities and attractions. When planning your visit, be sure to check to see what things to do are included with your wristband and which require additional reservations.
- Ride up the Magic Carpet to go flying down the 350-foot tubing hill. Sessions are about 90 minutes long.
- Take in incredible views on a thrilling zipline ride. There are two different tours, which actually take place in nearby Hartford and not at Ober.
- Another way to take in the views right at the mountain is the scenic chairlift. Ticket sales for the ride close 30 minutes before park closing time.
- Ober is one of the top places in the Gatlinburg area to go skiing and snowboarding. Keep in mind, your ski area ticket does not include rental equipment.
- Say hi to the animals that live at Ober by visiting the wildlife habitat. See black bears, river otters, birds of prey, and more.
- Try an amusement park favorite with a twist. Ice bumper cars let you zoom around the ice after your friends or family.
- Reach speeds up to 25 MPH or enjoy a leisurely ride on the mountain coaster. You are in control of your experience, which means you can find the perfect level of thrill.
Don’t forget to give yourself plenty of time to check out the shops and dining options found at Ober.
