5-10 Minutes
There are a number of iconic attractions in the Parkway that are 10 minutes or less away. Go for a walk on the SkyBridge, known for sweeping mountain views, at Gatlinburg SkyPark. Visit one of the top-rated aquariums in the country by visiting Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Take in 360-degree views of the Smokies and downtown Gatlinburg on the Gatlinburg Space Needle.
10-15 Minutes
Head out a little further, and you’ll find even more fun. Enjoy thrilling rides on the alpine coasters at Moonshine Mountain Coaster. If visiting in the winter, check out Ober Mountain, which is a top place to go ice skating and skiing.
15 Minutes & Beyond
If you’re looking for something a bit more off-the-beaten path, drive a little bit more out of town. The Sinks is a waterfall and swimming hole along the Little River. Say hello to the exotic birds that call Parrot Mountain & Gardens in nearby Pigeon Forge home.
