From parades to colorful light displays, there’s no shortage of events and festivals taking place throughout the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area. To help you plan your getaway, we’ve compiled some of the most popular happenings to check out.
- One of the most anticipated holiday events of the year is Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood. Stroll the streets and take in the over six million lights that give the park its holiday glow. There are also seasonal shows and feasts.
- Head up the mountain to Anakeesta for Enchanted Christmas. Running from mid-November through the end of the year, this annual event features light displays, incredible dining, and magical villages.
- Another great way to take in illuminating displays is Lights Over Gatlinburg, which takes place from November through the end of January. Head to the Gatlinburg Skypark to see why this is one of the most visited attractions in town.
- There are several parades to check out throughout December. The annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade returns for another year. More than 60,000 people come out to watch this festive parade that features bands, local businesses, and more. Sevierville hosts its own Christmas parade the following day; it has been a community staple for over six decades.
- Go for a drive along the Pigeon Forge Parkway to experience the Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights. More than five million lights are on display from November through mid-February.
