Surround Yourself in Stunning Tennessee Fall Foliage

A Tennessee roadway surrounded by fall foliage. When the crowds of summer have returned home, Gatlinburg takes on a whole new atmosphere. Not only can you enjoy some of the top attractions without as much competition, but the landscape takes on a whole new color scheme. Now is the perfect time to book your stay at The Park Vista to experience the beauty of the fall foliage in our Tennessee town.

3 Ways to Experience the Best Autumn Hues

Autumn in our slice of Tennessee is one of the most breathtaking times of year to visit. While temperatures start to cool down, they don’t get so low you won’t want to spend any time outdoors. One of the best things to do when staying with us during this time of year is leaf peeping.

Trees start taking on their fall colors around mid-September and reach peak levels between mid-October and early November. This can all vary depending on the elevation level, so we recommend looking at a foliage report for more up-to-date information.

  1. One of the best places to take in the golden colors of fall is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There are several ways to surround yourself with Mother Nature’s beauty, including going for a scenic drive along the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail or Blue Ridge Parkway.
  2. In addition to driving, another way to go leaf peeping inside the park is hiking. There are countless trails to choose from, which means you can pick something that fits your group. We recommend checking out the Laurel Falls Trail or Charlies Bunion via Appalachian Trail
  3. To see for miles, head to one of the numerous overlooks near our Gatlinburg hotel, like Clingmans Dome and Chimney Tops Overlook. Another way to experience sweeping views is on the Space Needle or Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway.

Of course, the possibilities don’t stop there. Other exceptional options include helicopter tours and horseback rides.
